Getting Ready for the Move!

Panic is setting in as we enter the two weeks until M-Day (moving day)! Matt is in the process of finding temporary housing for us (an eye-opening experience in itself), the girls are dreaming about their rooms in the new house, and I am in charge of keeping the house clean in hopes that some lovely family will come along and buy the house. We have had it on the market for two weeks and have had two realtor tours and six showings. I "think" that is positive, but with the market as it is, I can't make myself feel too optimistic.

Our plan is to leave for Colorado on July 12th. Our hope is to be in temporary housing for about a month and start the house-hunting as soon as we settle in. Ideally we would love to be moved into a home before Millie starts Kindergarten. We are holding off on preschool options for Ruby until we get into a permanent place - I want to find something close to home. I am afraid if we wait too long there won't be a place for her, but if worse comes to worse I can "home-school" her and find some dance/art classes for her to participate in.

Matt is hoping to get some time off over the next couple of weeks before he starts at Cricket on the 14th. As for the girls and I, we will be spending the next two weeks doing all our favorite KC things one last time and visiting with friends and family. Nana and Papa's pool will be our central command post when we aren't packing or doing last minute tasks.
