It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....especially with the 8 or so inches of snow that has been covering the city for the past week! The tree is up - Matt found the best one so far - and the shopping is almost done (whew). We have been enjoying some of our favorite holiday traditions here at the Wachter home and look forward to making a few new ones since we will be staying in state for Christmas. Our prayer is that this holiday season is filled with a lot of love and joy for you and all of yours!
25 days of Christmas stories...I wrapped 25 books (some we own and others we checked out) and the girls get to open one each night as a way to count down the days. Sometimes the grown ups read them and sometimes the kids do. So much fun!
The decorating (or should I say licking) of the Christmas sugar cookies.
The girls did about 5 each and then who do you think frosted the remaining three dozen....
Two of my favorites - Mr. and Mrs. Claus from my Grandma Ruth's tree. I found this picture on my camera...I think some of the family "photographers" got a hold of it.
Our "cut-your-own-and-save-the-park-rangers-some-time&money" tree.
Eat your heart out Charlie Brown!
