2013 Wrap Up!

So I don't think this really qualifies for a "blog" when there hasn't been a post in about 6 months!  There are so many excuses I could give, but you know the old saying about excuses....(if you don't, Matt will elaborate)!

There are so many things that have happened since I posted last, and to be honest I don't think I have the time or energy on this Sunday night to give all the details.  My new book is waiting and I selfishly want to get back to it.

Here is the Wachter 2013 Wrap-Up!

Fall 2013: I started a new position as 2nd grade teacher at the girls' school - Hopkins Elementary.  So glad the move was within the same school so I can stay close to the girls.  It has had its challenges, but I love what I do!

August 2013: Ruby made the fantastic decision to be baptized and I was blessed to be the one to do it!  Our church holds the ceremonies at a local park in the river.  Needless to say a mountain fed stream is a bit cold even in the summer!  It was an amazing day!

Fall 2013: Millie played Academy (one step up from Recreational and a step down from Competitive) and loved it.  She played defense and enjoyed knocking opponents down just a little too much!  Her team went undefeated in regular play!  We are looking forward to watching her and Ruby on the field again this Spring.

September 2013: Millie celebrated her 11th birthday with a fancy dinner party!  The ladies all came in their best dressed, ate appetizers, drank fru-fru drinks and feasted on fine food!

November 2013: Thanksgiving in Littleton...Ruby spent a lot of time helping me plan, prep, and cook!  She has a future in party planning!

November 2013: Matt agrees to be a part of a family portrait...the first in several years!  I think Ruby barely had hair in the last one.  This was the best Christmas present I received!
