Spooktacular Boo Ball & Halloween

We got more than our fair share of Halloween fun this year. Millie and Ruby's school hosted a Spooktacular Boo Ball the weekend before Halloween and the girls had a blast. I was a little unsure of what to expect - I was thinking carnival, but as usual I did not think the obvious. The name of the event said it all - Boo BALL...so there were treats and dancing. All the latest hits from Hannah Montana and The Jonas Brothers plus other tween music was the soundtrack for the nights festivities. The girls got to cut a rug with their teachers, principal and friends. We caught a few pictures.

For Halloween we trick-or-treated our neighborhood. It was a great way to meet some of the neighbors we haven't talked to yet. The girls made a killing with candy. Their little buckets filled up pretty quickly and when Matt suggested we come back to the house and empty them and then go back out the girls balked. Ruby said, "My legs are too tired" and Millie decided, "I have enough candy". She obviously does not get her self-control from me or her father. I think their favorite part of the evening was passing out candy at our house and sorting their candy. Although Millie was pretty happy to be rid of those pantyhose. I think she should be considered the "new" look for feminism! "I am woman hear me roar...and watch me burn my pantyhose!" Helen Redding and GranMary would be proud!
