Laundry is Getting Me Down

Laundry has been unusually depressing lately.  It isn't just that the clothes seem to embrace immaculate conception and reproduce like rabbits.  The real reason laundry is getting me down is this...

Why the fear about hangers you ask?  It isn't that hangers and I have a tumultuous relationship...they have served me well all these years.  Keeping my shirts and pants smooth and organized.  They are actually a really great invention, but for the past 10 years these have also been a part of my laundry experience:
I have used baby hangers for the girls' clothes for the last 10 years and a few weeks ago I realized that some of their shirts just don't fit on these hangers anymore.  My babies are growing up and while it has been happening for some time now, it took some 60 cent hangers from Target to remind me to stop and really look at how much they have grown.  I am not the kind of mom who wants to keep their kids little forever...in fact, I love to think about all the adventures they have before them and all the wonderful things life will bring. However, right now all I really want is to wrestle those big kid clothes back onto those baby hangers and keep my girls from growing up and leaving me too soon!

I had to share this comment from my sister - it made me feel so much better!!!

"Love this blog...we still have baby hangers too...we use them for tanks & camis because they are perfect for the straps to fit into....see, even when they are bigger (like the hanger) they are still our babies!" -Marci
