Poets and Authors

The girls brought home some great writing the other day. Ruby just finished a poetry unit and she was extremely prolific! Not that I am keeping track, but she wrote about 5 poems about her dad, 3 about Bear and 2 about me. Notice the ranking there - and she doesn't even like Bear!!! Trying not to read into it....

Millie's class has been writing about small moments: little things that happen, but using lots of detail. I like the little detail she added about Matt's job title in the middle of the Halloween story. I too will "never forget"!

"My family trick-or-treated at my daddy's work, Sprint. My dad's work has lots of cubes. He is not a director. A long time ago in October it felt exciting. I heard an evil cackle. I was scared. In a dark, black cube I saw a black witch. I was afraid again. I hugged my mom and dad. This is something I will never forget. By Millie Wachter"
