Tight Lines Cabin (minus the cabin)

We are very excited to be the proud owners of mountain land. Not just Colorado land, but MOUNTAIN LAND! We closed last month on 2 acres of land just outside the small town of Jefferson, CO (close to Fairplay which is bigger on the map). Matt has christened it Tight Lines Cabin (or TLC) even though the cabin won't be built for a few years. It is really a beautiful piece of land with lots of aspen trees, some rock outcroppings and of course awesome views. Ownership comes with access to 13 miles of private fishing river which Matt (and his fishing buddies Bob and Stu) have given two big thumbs up! Our first camping trip there was cut short by rain, but we had a great time clearing brush, building a "house" for the girls and exploring. For those of you who can live without running water for a couple of days - head out now. For the wimpies - try us again in a few years and see if we have a toilet!

Sold (TO US)!

Matt got busy right away and constructed this awesome sign for the property entrance! Isn't he handy?

Close-up of the sign (pre-installation).

View to the Northeast - the Tarryall Mountain Range.

Matt and Ruby exploring the property!

Ruby with the teepee (now dismantled for safety reasons). She and Millie love playing in the aspen log corral on the property. Apparently a magical dolphin lives there.

Like a kid in a candy store!
