Who ever thought I, Libby Wachter, would be a camper??? I am proud to annouce that I have successfully made it through 3 different camping trip with no injuries, meltdowns, or crying jags! Our family camped last weekend with our friends the Schells and I would call it a success, despite the one night of rain! It was kindof like a glorified Girl Scout trip with smores, crafts, canoeing and nature walks. The girls did a little hiking to a beautiful meadow full of wildflowers. Between the five of us we had quite a bouquet! Many thanks to Bob and little Jack who went up a day early and set up camp. Amy and I decided that it is the only way to camp. Now if we could just have a butler/maid to cook all the meals and break camp for us!
Canoeing Lake Wellington - nice life vest
Oooooh that's cold water!

Time for dindin - Ruby, Elizabeth and Millie
Okay, I really didn't need to know how goofy I look in my headlamp, but nighttime potty breaks would be dangerous without it!The Schells canoeing Lake Wellington - who put the kids in charge?!?!
Salty Dog!
Matt and the girls find their sea legs
We found a FEW wildflowers!
Creek time!
"Seriously....the fish was THIS BIG!"

The fearless camp leaders! (Is it wine time yet?)
