Wonder Twin Powers Activate!

Everyone needs to feel like a superhero every once in a while. Marci and I have ressurrected our Wonder Twin Powers! Raise your hand if you were a kid of the late 70s-early 80s when this lame-o cartoon was on tv. It went something like this: Wonder Twin Powers Activate. Form of.....(whatever you needed to become at that moment to combat evil). Sometimes the boy turned into water and his sister into a bucket and they would splash out the bad guys?!?!? As I was searching the internet today for an image of the Twins I ran across this (included in the list of worst superhero powers - very insightful stuff at http://www.examiner.com/x-6065-SF-Graphic-Narrative-Examiner~y2009m3d31-Top-Ten-Worst-Superhero-Powers):

10. Zan, The Wondertwin Powers: Can turn into water, steam or ice. Reason: Sure, it’d be kind of cool to turn into a form of water—until your way-more-awesomely-empowered sister accidentally inhales you while in the form of water vapor.

Zan shouldn't be too disappointed. He is #10 on the list, barely making the cut with such infamous heros as "The Blob" (Powers: He is fat) and "Super-Trucker" (Powers: With his metal skull, he can pick up radio signals in his brain and head-butt you like the jerk he is).

Now that I am writing about it it really doesn't sound tough or effective, but I think Marci and I's version is working much better. We have found that there are just those times when you have to have someone along side you, giving you that extra bit of strength to fight the good fight, making you laugh when you want to cry, and singing at the top of your lungs to I am Woman Hear Me Roar!! I am glad that in addition to God, Matt and my mom and dad, I have such an awesome person in my corner - "going to the mattresses" with me. Even IF (and that is a really big if) her only super power was being my sister I feel stronger just knowing she is with me! Wonder Twin Powers Activate! Form of: SUPER AWESOME SISTER!

Wonder Twins can teleport their powers from any location - even the limits of Colorado. For copyright reasons we had to go with t-shirts that said "Super Gal" - we don't like to deal with lawyers any more than necessary!

I personally think Bear is a much cuter sidekick with a much cooler name!

P.S. One other Wonder Twins tidbit you might find interesting: Some people believe that the Wonder Twins are responsible for originating the ultra-hip "fist bump" maneuver with their "wonder Twin powers, activate!" transformation maneuver.[1]
