The house in KC is under contract! Yippee!!! We negotiated the details with the buyer on Thursday night and the inspection is scheduled for Monday (the 4th). Following the inspection things should be pretty set for the closing on the 22nd. We are so excited, but trying to keep it reigned in until the inspection results come in. We were especially glad that my mom and my sister (who surprised me at the airport) were in town to celebrate with us. They were also a HUGE help as Matt and I ran around emailing and faxing contracts and accompanying us on house hunting excursions. We have found a house here that we like and may make an offer this week if things are looking secure on the KC front. I was so glad that my mom and Marci got to see it and give their impressions/suggestions. We were able to take in some sights and get them into the mountains. We took them back to Bear Creek and Evergreen since we liked it so much. This trip was a little more exciting: Millie's croc floated about 500 yards down the river and while trying to retrieve it I fell into the river and so did my mom. No harm done - just some wet socks, shoes, and pant legs. It made for some pretty good laughs! The girls just couldn't get enough of Nana and Aunt Marci and I revealed in the extra help around the condo. The girls and I are looking forward to a possible trip back to KC in a couple of weeks to finalize the moving details/packing to see Papa and Uncle David and the kids. I can't say that I am looking forward to saying goodbye to the house (it was a great place to start our family), but I am excited to really get things started here in Colorado. My prayer is that God will lead us to the house that is right for our family, where we can create lots more memories!
