So Long Oak Street!

We have finally wrapped things up at 6929 Oak Street. The girls and I flew back to KC last week to finalize the moving details and to visit with the fam. Dad and I spent two very exciting days (read BORING) supervising the packing and moving of all our belongings. It was almost as exciting as watching paint dry (which we actually had to do after patching the walls). I think we may have worn the hardwoods out with all our pacing around. With nothing much to do we resembled two caged animals. We each took turns sweeping the back patio with the kitchen broom just to have something to do. All the workers did a great job - I feel confident that everything will arrive here in good shape! I will admit that there were more than a few tears as I took one more trip through the house. We have a lot of fond memories there, but I look forward to making more here in Colorado!

The girls got Nana all to themselves for two days and got to sleep over at Aunt Marci and Uncle David's house with Jacob, Claire and Ava! It was so great to see everyone, especially the two bachelor grandpas and catch up with all that is going on. I hated to leave them again, but this week should prove to be very exciting! Stay tuned for more details...

I'm tearing up myself thinking of all the fun playgroups our kids had at your KC home! We really miss all of you! But I'm super happy that the house sold for you AND you have a new home to make your own in Colorado.
I wish I was as computer savvy as you so I could've been doing this more often, but I think I've got it figured out now. So I'll be in touch! All my best, Julie
